Great if you want to spend that kind of bread. The Mitchells are as thorough as any on the market that includes repair and electrical info. They are subscriptions you can get for different time spans. My choice has always been the 4yr. Subscription for 40 bucks.

Reasonable by any measure and you are not stuck with it if you change vehicles. I'm sure All Data is the same way. Being a person who is willing to use an alternative source for my shop manual needs, I checked out and bought my '15 Ex manual from:. Thanks for the link, PeterK9 Having received this manual in the past few days, I can tell you that I'm more than impressed with it. Custom ordered to my Ex's VIN, it is the real deal and complete compilation of everything Explorer including the owners manual and there's no subscription end date as it's a PDF file downloaded to you computer. The only draw back for some maybe that it's a foreign site that you get it from.

Either Canadian or European (dang foreigners ) but, it was just as easy a process as any other. Great deal IMO @ 60 dollars US. Check it out! I have the actual, telephone-book-sized Workshop Manuals for my predecessors, a 2008 Ford Expedition (Vol 1 & 2 and Wiring Diagrams) and my 2006 Ford Explorer (Vol 1 & 2, no wiring guide), and I'm planning on listing them on eBay tomorrow. Hoping I'll get around $150 for both sets (they aren't cheap for the actual printed copies) based on other listings.

I have, somewhere, the Factory Manual for one of my cars on disc. Honestly, the disc is nice, in some ways easier to use, but honestly, I prefer the good ole giant books. They can be fascinating sometimes just to thumb through and see what catches your eye. It's just not the same with the disc - though doing searches is easier. I do hope this downloaded PDF I'll be getting is as good as all the reviews I've read - there were only 2 complaints and it sounded more like the people didn't really didn't know what they were doing - but lots of 5 star reviews.

I've found these manuals can be great for something as easy as how to remove a light cover without breaking it, how to access some hidden part, where to find some odd thing you need. I've had them for all my past cars except my 2013 Edge I recently traded. I honestly didn't really plan on keeping the Edge long - and I kept it almost 4 years - the longest of any car in the past 12 years!

Click to expand.Oh, I missed that part - I must be really more tired than I already feel lately, I've been missing a lot! Anyway, so far I'm getting a bit concerned - they said it would be compiled and ready for download in 12-24 hours, possibly 48 hours if really busy. MikB, in posting above, said he was really happy with his manual for his 2015 XLT. I think the books are custom made for your specific car, as they base it on the VIN - but that could also be for the copy-protection coding they have in the PDF file (as I understand it, anyway).

I suppose it may be awhile before the '16 Ford OEM manuals hit eBay and I bet they'll be really pricey for awhile, too. Even if this PDF download is totally awesome, I still like to have the actual books. Oh, I missed that part - I must be really more tired than I already feel lately, I've been missing a lot! I'm still quite happy with this version being it is specific to my vehicle. I like the fact that I don't have to go out to my Ex to study a door label for info when I'm curious about something. All and I mean all the info about my Ex is in this file. The build list is there including the build date which can be handy when certain build dates are involved in a recall. As a repair manual, It's as good as having a hard copy. The only thing I might change about the file is making it easier to get to a reference or related procedure found in another section when called for but, you have the same issue with the book.

It's not a big deal as it just takes a little more time to get the info. Another thing that's good is you can print out only the info needed for a particular procedure and not have to lug a book around with you. Having the book is a good thing also because it doesn't discriminate between different models of the Ex but, you can also get that same 'book' in a file or cd.

It of course, is a matter of preference. Click to expand.Okay, I've downloaded the manual and I've been looking through it for the last few hours.

It's hard to say how thorough it is when I'm not actually DOING something with it - but it looks very much like the regular Ford Workshop Manual. It's 7845 pages - that includes the Owners Manual, the report of your car like on FordETIS - and 20 chapters broken down very much like a Ford Workshop Manual: Body & Paint, Engine, Driveline, Four-Wheel Drive., Steering, etc with the last chapter being nothing but Wiring Diagrams. I don't have the slightest idea how to read a wiring diagram but to some, I know it's important - important enough to be it's own 3rd volume in a Ford set. The illustrations are in color - which is a VAST improvement over the Ford Workshop B&W pictures. BUT, they are just illustrations, showing only important parts, whereas at least from a photo, you get a good idea of where things are in relation to everything else. One thing that drives me nuts is there are no links. Say I'm in Chapter 17: Lighting to find info on how to change a light in the dash or glove compartment.

It will say 'Refer to: Overhead Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console.)' making it look like a link - but it's not. Or maybe it is, I'm using a free copy of Adobe Acrobat for PDF files - maybe a paid copy makes the links work! Of course, there is no such thing in a printed copy either but a CD version I've had before actually had working links. This may sound like maybe the silliest reason for having a manual like this, but it's an important thing for me: To remove, lets say the Glovebox, sometimes it's really tricky finding the screws/latches/clips/etc holding it in. Usually it's hidden clips or plastic pop-in screws that you can't find and if you can't find where it is, you can often end up breaking something, bending it, whatever. I LOVE that manuals like these tell you roughly WHERE those hidden clips are AND what type of clip it is so you know what tool to use. In my previous Edge, I didn't have this, needed to pop off the cover of the windshield wiper sensor to run wires for my radar detector - and, of course, broke a plastic clip from that part glued onto the windshield.

The seamless K–5 program employs a proven pedagogy of incremental instruction: new concepts and problem-solving strategies are introduced in easy-to-understand pieces beginning at a concrete level in the early grades, building upon concepts students have already learned. Buying a new cover didn't work and I dealt with that cover falling off - or just taking it off for almost 4 years. When one is trying to remove the door panel, it's so important to know where all the frustration is hiding! That's my initial review of the manual ordered from for my 2016 Explorer Limited for $69.99.

From just looking through it for a few hours, I do believe it was SO worth the $70 investment. One thing I'm curious about is the chapter numbering.

I show chapters numbered 00 to 20 BUT I have no chapter 12 or 16. As these manuals are compiled based on the VIN, it's possible that those chapters were for info that doesn't pertain to my vehicle (ie., I don't have the sunroof, BLIS, auto-parking, lane change warning, or Adaptive cruise, towing, etc so perhaps those chapters had something to do with those items. At the same time, who's to say that in the chapters that I DO have that I have every sub-topic?

Perhaps I don't because, again, maybe they don't pertain to me and, if that's the case, I wouldn't need them except to (illegally) loan my licensed product to someone else! I will admit, I'm not a grease monkey by any means. I enjoy doing certain things (like installing my OEM Running Boards) if they are things that I believe I'm capable of doing so I would certainly not be looking at the 'how to pull your engine and overhaul it' section, so I can't vouch for the info given for such things!

For me, this is perfect. I hope this helps others. Oh, and aside from the download taking just a bit longer to prepare than advised, I had no bad customer service so I'll have to give them a 5 star rating as well. Click to expand. Now I'm curious - what options would you think I'm missing? I do know, this being my 5th Ford in a row, all being Eddie Bauer (the 'Limited' of it's time) or Limited (I like toys and there are certain ones I'm so used to now that I would not give up, ever! When I'm doing a car search at trade-in time, I won't even look at anything less than a Limited) that they did use to seem to come with more options standard - but now Ford has added the Platinum line.

It's almost like they added one higher trim and then lowered options in all the others. So really, I am curious what you think I'm missing. I can say that before this, I had the Edge Limited - it did have the Panoramic Sunroof (which kept coming off track, hence me not having ), BLIS, and Auto-Wipers but those were not included with the Limited package, they were add-ons. I gotta say, I really miss the Auto-Wipers. You get used to the car doing pretty much everything for you - and now it doesn't and I actually have to turn a knob to make a function work. The Edge did not have cooled front seats (a feature I now LOVE - come summer in AZ, that's going to be fantastic!) or heated back seats. Since I bought my Explorer through a Fiat dealer, obviously they didn't have the 36 page sales brochure so I just purchased it on eBay (I enjoy keeping these types of things).

For the moment, I'll have to look on-line to see what you're referring to. See what you've done? Made me a manic, paranoid mess!!
