Overview On April 1, 2013 NMLS launched the Uniform State Test or UST. This is the first major change to SAFE MLO Test requirements since the SAFE MLO tests were launched in July, 2009.

The UST is a new domain or section in the National Test. This new domain includes 25 questions which brings the length of the National Test Component with Uniform State Content to 125 questions, of which 115 are scored and ten are un-scored. See table below for more details on the features of the test components. The UST material tests applicants on their knowledge of high level state-related content that is based on the SAFE Act and the CSBS/AARMR Model State Law (MSL) which many states used to implement the SAFE Act.

The content outline for the new National Test Component with Uniform State Content, including references, can be found. The UST replaces the state-specific test components for the states that adopt it. Therefore, a passing result on the National Test with Uniform State Content satisfies the testing requirements for licensure in those adopting states, and any states that adopt in the future.

As of January 1, 2017, 54 state mortgage agencies have adopted the UST. The remaining state agencies may elect to adopt the UST at a future date, but they are not required to do so. State agencies which choose not to adopt the UST will continue to require applicants to take and pass the current state specific test components.

All candidates who have not yet met the National test requirement, or any candidate that has not yet met UST testing requirements. Meets National Test requirements for all state mortgage agencies. All candidates who have not previously passed that specific state test component. Meets state-specific test requirement for each jurisdiction where MLO intends to hold a license.

I PASSED my SAFE exam.2nd time around!! I changed careers from teaching to loan officer and with a Masters degree and many state exams, I got a 72% on the SAFE!! I was devastated!!! I googled how to pass the exam and everyone wanted hundreds of dollars.then I found Carey Green. I watched his videos and hoped he lived near me so I could hire him to tutor me, unfortunately, he's far away.

I know I had to pass the 2nd time, so since he only asked for $25, I was shocked!!! I love his program and his practice tests!! The terminology is similar to the real test, especially the math problems. I strongly urge you to buy his 'cheap' program and just adapt to the terminology. I wish anyone reading this, 'best of luck and I hope you purchase Carey's program and pass the SAFE exam'. I failed my first test with a 66% and like the other reviews, felt defeated and had no direction of where to go.

I found this site and started studying everything you provided. I passed my test today with an 84%. The practice tests are GOLDEN and I did each one of them until I was scoring 90% or above on all of them. Word of advice: If you are scoring over 90% on these tests, you WILL pass the state exam. I even saw some of the exact questions today as I was testing. You truly could charge over $100 and it would still be worth every penny.

The material I received through the 20 hours safe program was a little overwhelming and their test didn't really prepare me for it. After I failed, I felt defeated. I stumbled across this website and went over the practice test about 5-6 times each until I passed each one with a 86% or higher. The practice test gives you a more understanding on how the SAFE test is and a lot of of the same questions. Maybe not word for word but going over them made me understand the concept of it. You still need to know your material but the practice test are the key and helped out A LOT!!

Test info: hardly any math questions, many TRID questions, ethics, general mortgage knowledge and qualified mortgages guidelines. I literally didn't feel like I knew enough from my 20 hour class to pass the test.

It was so much info it was hard to understand in just 3 days. I got to this pass the safe exam from YouTube and decided to purchase it. Best decision of my life! He broke down the terms and everything was easy to navigate on. I studied this until I was blue in the face.

I finished the exam in less the 2 hours thanks to your study materials!!! I completed an online 20 hour pre-license course in November and scheduled the exam for December 5th.

A week before my exam I knew I wasn't prepared so I went to Google and YouTube for suggested study materials. I found you on YouTube and ordered your course immediately! I rescheduled my exam for the 19th (today) and began studying your materials. This is what I did: I created my postcards from the Mortgage Law Study Charts, the 'What is TRID' handout, The Custom Graphic Flashcards, and the Types of Loans and Products handout.

I created approximately 100 postcards and I categorized them. I studied those for a day or so and then started with the practice exams. I ran through the practice exams for two weeks and completed four rounds of each. On my last round of practice exams I timed myself 60 minutes to complete each test. I knew I was ready for the real exam as my practice average was above 90% as you recommended.THE SECRET TO THE SAUCE IS IN THE PRACTICE EXAMS. Thank you for an outstanding product!!!

Carey - I wanted to send you a note and thank you for the amount of time and care you have taken to put this course together. I seriously started utilizing your site after I failed my first SAFE MLO with a 73%. I was heartbroken and on the drive home I decided I was going to devote time and energy to utilizing your course. Which was 2 months after the test. The key to passing is to make sure you have a clear understanding of the laws and rules.You can not pass just be memorizing a bunch of definitions.Anyhow, I made an 85% this second time around. I had no idea how difficult the test actually is and I was embarrassed to say the least. When I told a friend he suggested signing up for this prep site and not to take the test again until I consistently scored 90% on the practice tests which is exactly what I had done. I should have sought his advice the first time and saved myself the aggravation and expense of taking the test multiple times.

As a suggestion, print the tests after taking them and that way you can spend extra time on the questions you missed. This is a very difficult exam and Carey's preparation exercises are invaluable. The test itself was pretty straightforward wit a limited amount of math, not a lot questions on fines. The scenarios were brief and it mainly focused on the basics, 3/7/3 rule, tila,respa, red flags I did not even see a difference between the state from the national part. I'm so glad I came across your video on YouTube when I did. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to taking tests. But, with that said, because I was prepared, I felt at ease because I had all the knowledge in my head. Your course over prepared me. Had I gone in just by using what I learned in the 20 hour course I know I wouldn't have passed. The 20 hour course is NOT ENOUGH. You need a SYSTEM to help you prepare for this exam.

You are Living it! I PASSED with 89% after failing my first NMLS national exam with a 74% (ouch!). I was crushed that I failed by 1 point! After my first attempt, I decided that I wanted additional study materials to help me pass my 2nd attempt at the SAFE Exam.

This study program was amazing and incredibly beneficial!!!! There is so much to learn in order to pass the SAFE exam. I literally stumbled upon Carey' Greens website, I was not disappointed but I was so surprised! Went online and found this material and I must say it is the best information out there. This material teaches you how to study as well as how to break down what you’re studying. The cliff notes were great and many of the questions in the practice tests appear on the real test. I must’ve taken the practice tests about 40-50 times with a 90% or better. One of the more helpful items on this site is the mortgage law study charts. They really helped me understand the entities that regulate this industry, why they exist and what they do. And watch the intro videos! Very helpful, especially when he says if you don't understand something, stop and google it or look it up somehow to make sure you understand it before moving on! I found Carey Green's MLO Study Materials super affordable and helpful in the following ways: 1st - the math video was instrumental in explaining the complex math examples I would encounter and how to solve them easily, 2nd - Carey encourages students to get creative and make their own flash cards or anagrams to remember complex terms quickly. Therefore, I created my own anagram to remember all of the major regulations. And it worked! I certainly recommend Carey Green's MLO Study Materials to students.' .I passed the SAFE MLO with the UST component 3/11/2015 in Charlotte, NC. With an 80!.

Passing is passing, right? That's all that matters. Carey, or Pastor Green, is a wonderful man, period. He gives you material that covers pretty much 60-80% of the actual material on the REAL exam. I took the practice tests he offers over and over (about 60 times), finally scoring in the mid 90's.

It's hard to know exactly what's going to be on YOUR actual state exam, however, understanding how to learn the regulations in a fun manner, like Pastor Green preaches in his course, IS VERY HELPFUL. You have to associate something funny with your memorization of Reg's, period. For example: Respa / Reg X, I remembered, 'respiratory therapists and X-ray's'. And had to associate it that way. Get creative, and trust me, this course is well worth the investment.

$20 is nothing! He's right, it's a lot costlier if you don't pass the first time.

Thanks Carey, I took my test yesterday and passed. The flashcards were great, and I found myself watching the videos over and over again – they were light and funny and allowed me to engage my senses in the material many times. The best help I got from you was not so much the content, but the “how to take the test” tips.

I probably passed because I held about 50 questions back for review and probably changed my answer on 30 of them. Glad I found you on the internet. The value in your program was way more than I paid. I failed my first attempt by only two questions and was super frustrated because the practice tests given to me were nothing like the real exam. I went to the Internet and found this course was a little skeptical at first and figured I couldn't go wrong with a $20 investment. I only had five days to study before my next exam so I really reviewed as much as I could but still didn't even scratch the surface with all the material.

Test wasn't what my online course was preparing me for thats for sure. I was looking for alternatives and found Carey Green. I donated $30 and thought if it helps and I pass it is worth it thats for sure. I HIGHLY recommending the course. Carey spent alot of hours putting this together.

His tips were very instrumental. The flash cards and charts saved me. I realized I had to be prepared if I waso going to pass. He recommended to keep taking his 4 practice tests until you can score 90% every time.

I tried a few places for practice tests. His were the best. My retest I recognized many of the questions. I liked that his practice test tells you right away if right or wrong. They are also not as long as other sites. There are 4 50 question sets. Those 100 questions test take too long and many of them do not tell you right or wrong.

I promised myself if I passed I would write a testimonial. Carey is right. There is only one way you are going to pass this test. You have to study and put the time in. Make your own flash cards, it really helps learn and remember. Then a few days before take these practice tests until you are blue in the face.

I am a very pleased customer and will recommend your site to anyone who I feel will benefit from what you have to offer. Without mentioning names, I took an online 'instructor led' NMLS S.A.F.E course which cost over $500 only to find out that 'instructor led' does not mean what I thought it meant. It was more of a, 'Here's a bunch of lessons. Read them, learn on your own, do some quizzes and assignments, and pass our exam' type of thing.

Needless to say, in the brief 2 week period for which the class was given, I was unable to adequately and truly LEARN because I was forced to cram to meet that 2 week limit. I came across this study guide via YouTube, and was intrigued by the 'pay what you want' policy.

I bought the guide and loved it! I used the practice tests ad nauseam, and those were probably the biggest asset for me out of everything.

And my NMLS course did not offer unlimited practice tests-I would have had to pay additional money for it, and its practice exams did not include a lot of the questions in Carey's that were almost verbatim what I ran across in the real exam.
